Caretaker Conventions

"Operating on scheduled time" describes a bus service that departs a stop, which is a designated timing point, between 1 minute earlier and 4 minutes later than the scheduled time.
It details the percentage of timing points that were met early, late and on time by services on the Transport Canberra bus network.

The passenger boardings for each route on the ACTION network - not including school services

This data set provides a count and percentage of trips categorised by method of transport. This data is obtained from individuals sampled in obtaining data for the ACT Household Travel Survey.

A trip is defined as the travel between two main activities, where a stop may constitute a change in transport mode. As an example: driving from home to a park and ride facility, then catching a bus to an interchange, then walking to a shop to purchase an item and finally walking to work is comprised of 4 ‘stops’ and two ‘trips’.

Note: This data represents travel and activity on an average weekday. The main method of travel across a trip is used to classify trip types.

Provides the average number of passenger boardings by day broken down by stop and hour for May 2017. Patronage is measured through unique boardings recorded in the MyWay ticketing system on scheduled services. This includes boardings by passengers with MyWay cards and passengers who choose to purchase a ticket or transfer on board a vehicle. This dataset excludes passenger boardings on dedicated school routes.

Data was sourced from the MyWay ticketing system which records passenger validations and cash sales using the netBI business intelligence software.

This data set is a record of planned footpath closures within the ACT based on the submission of Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) plans. This data contains all information recorded since the implementation of an ESRI Survey 123 solution to handle TTM Applications.

This dataset contains the locations and descriptions of Kiss and Ride parking bays which are located near public transport stops. Vehicles can park in the kiss and ride parking bays for a short time for pick up or drop off (up to 2 minutes while you remain with your vehicle).

During Light Rail service disruptions, these facilities will be converted into temporary replacement bus stops.
