The ACT Water Featured Lines data set contains polyline information representing an area of land that is or may be covered in water, either intermittently or constantly, temporarily or permanently. The Water Features data set was digitised in 1995 from 1:10,000 Plan Series, 1:2,500 Cadastre, 1:2,500 Detail, 1:1,000 Detail and traced from Topobase.

Location of playgrounds that are publicly managed by the ACT Government. Includes information about playground type (local, neighbourhood, central community, district), division name, location description, play area count, upgrade year, parking, usage, shade, list of features (eg climber, cubby, swing etc) and total structures. These assets are managed by City Presentation, Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate (TCCS) and Parks and Conservation Service, Environment and Planning Directorate (EPD). Privately managed playgrounds and playgrounds managed by other ACT Government Directorates are not included. Polygons in the playground data are not precisely mapped and may include several play areas (defined as softfall areas). If exact softfall boundaries are required please refer to the Playareas dataset. These assets are captured and maintained in the TCCS asset database through the works as executed (WAE) handover process or field audits.

The feature names data refers to the specific official, commercial or colloquial name used to refer to a particular feature or collective group of features in the ACT. A number of feature names have been formally determined as public place names, for example divisions (suburbs) and some parks, however this does not apply to features such as commercial buildings and schools.
The ACT Government is responsible for the naming of public places in the ACT (nomenclature).

This data deal with hydrogeological landscapes of the ACT and the nature and consequences of salinity in the ACT 1:50000. They have been produced for the ACT Government by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI). The maps and document result from a series of salinity projects OEH is undertaking to better understand how dryland salinity manifests in the landscape and how salinity may be best managed. Location of furniture that is publicly managed by the ACT Government. These assets are managed by City Presentation, Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate (TCCS) and Parks and Parks and Conservation Service Environment and Planning Directorate (EPD). Assets are often co-located with other public infrastructure such as barbeques, picnic shelters and playgrounds. Privately managed public furniture and furniture managed by other ACT Government Directorates are not included. These assets are captured and maintained in the TCCS asset database through the works as executed (WAE) handover process or field audits.

Part of the Strategic Bushfire Management Plan - Bushfire Abatement Zone

Under the Emergencies Act, the Commissioner has declared a BAZ.

The BAZ surrounds Canberra and extends west towards the Murrumbidgee River. It is a subset of the BPA, and was developed to identify rural areas where specific measures are required to reduce risk to life and property to the built-up area of Canberra. These measures include land-use constraints, planning requirements for land managers (both public and private) and pre-incident planning for bushfires.
The BAZ will be reviewed as required to reflect changes in land use and tenure, and will be approved by the Commissioner.

Location of Dog Parks that are managed by the ACT Government. Attributes include Suburb, Location and Creation date. Parks and City Services established a reference group of key community and government stakeholders to ensure that the fenced dog parks were the best fit for Canberra and best practice in dog exercise park design. This reference group included representatives from a number of dog associations and clubs, the RSPCA, Centre for Companion Animals in Society, Australian Veterinary Association, Guide Dogs Association and Council on the Aging. Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS) is responsible for the installation and upkeep of Dog Parks across the ACT. These assets are captured and maintained in the TCCS asset database through the Works as Executed (WAE) process and field audits.

This layer contains the most current information on the distribution of potential ACT and EPBC listed Box Gum Grassy Woodland in the ACT. Yellow box-Blakely's red gum grassy woodland and derived grassland is an Endangered Ecological Community under the Nature Conservation Act 2014. White box - Yellow box - Blakely's red gum grassy woodland and derived grassland is a Critically Endangered Ecological Community under the EPBC Act 1999. The criteria for the EPBC community is slightly different to the ACT listed of the community Yellow box-Blakely's red gum grassy woodland and derived grassland community. As the listing of this community is based on condition that requires site assessment to inspect the ground layer and forb diversity, mapped polygons indicate potential distribution of this community.
